Jocelyn came to Newton in the Fall of 2021. She graduated from Goddard College in 2021 with a Master of Education in School Counseling with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. She received BA degrees in Liberal Studies and in Women’s and Gender Studies and a Queer Studies minor at Sonoma State University in 2011. Before becoming a school counselor, Jocelyn spent time as a camp counselor, a wedding bartender, a preschool teacher, a medical paraeducator, a mental health worker on an adolescent psychiatric inpatient unit, and a case worker for youth on probation. Jocelyn and her wife moved to Vermont in 2012 with their two cats and two dogs and now have three children, aged 4, 2, and a new baby. In her spare time, Jocelyn enjoys hiking, skiing, swimming in lakes, and traveling with her family. Jocelyn can be reached at jyork@wrvsu.org.
