Having grown up in the Upper Valley Barrett Williams has a deep appreciation for the place we call home.  Mr. Williams has lived in Thetford since 2007 with his wife and son.
Mr. Williams graduated from Husson University in 2001 and began his career as a PE/Health teacher at Tunbridge Central School and then in the same role at Chelsea Public School.  He earned a masters degree from the University of Vermont in educational leadership and served as the interim principal at Chelsea Public School for one year. Mr. Williams was hired as the principal at Sharon Elementary School in 2008 were he served for 11 years before taking on his role as superintendent at Rivendell Interstate School District.

Mr. Williams is excited for the opportunity to return to the White River Valley Supervisory Union to serve as the principal at Newton Elementary School. He sees a community that cares deeply for its children, values education and supports the good work that is being done by our faculty and staff. 

He looks forward to working with Newton staff, students and families to create positive learning experiences for all students.
